About the author

Following college, Peter spent approximately 8 months managing a comic shop and pondering what to do with his life. He then went into medical publishing, squandering ten years of his physical prime sitting in a cubicle. He contented himself with writing books he never hoped to sell.
In June of 2007, his hard work and perseverance paid off, as he sold his 4th novel, THE PAINTED MAN, and in October of 2007, he left his day job to pursue writing full time.
He lives in Brooklyn NY .

    Demon Cycle Trilogy becomes Quintet. In my opinion Mr Brett should have concentrated on making The Daylight War the book it was meant to be rather than the rushed and shoddy affair it became. A classic case of publisher cashing in on popularity. Indicative of greed in todays society just look at films coming out which have there endings unashamedly spliced for cash reaping (Hunger Games, Hobbit, Twilight) Sigh…… Releasing novellas before the series has finished is crass and offensive.

    I loved the first two books and appropriately indulged myself in the third of the story, but I must say the ending was a little disappointing, however I'm eager for more; great read

    I have now read all 3 books in this series so far and all I can say is...... Wow, Peter V. Brett has had me on literally hanging on every word, the story so far is amazing. I'm so glad that I discovered 'The Painted Man' in the iTunes Store as once I picked up one of these novels I just cannot put it down. I cannot wait until the next book is published so that I can finally finish the series and I can say now that it will be a very agonising wait. Would highly recommend this and the previous 2 books 'The Painted Man' & 'The Desert Spear', to anyone who loves reading fantasy novels. Keep up the good work!!

    I devoured the first 2 books and was sucked into the amazing detailed world he created. This book surpasses them. Character development and plot lines add depth to an already thoroughly realised world. Even the small plot lines add to the sense of real world complexity. He creates characters I care deeply for. All complex with conflicting motives. Read this book! You won't be disappointed. Thank you mr Brett

    Disappointing mostly a rehash of perspective referring to the other books in the series. The end is a cop out leaving no progression to hook me. I did like the previous books
