  • Terrible writing

    I tried to get through this book because I wanted to give it a decent chance, but the writing really is awful in every significant respect; grammar, punctuation, spelling, consistency – you name it, this breaks it. I'd advise you to move along... there's really nothing worth reading here.

    I've read quite a few zombie books but I found this one very boring. It stared of ok but then went down hill fast glad I only paid 99p for it

    This is hard going. The sentences are too short and character names are used far too frequently. Most readers are probably capable of following the narrative and don't need the characters name to be associated with every verb.

    If you are thinking of buying this book just do it ignore all the people who write reviews saying its terrible because of spelling mistakes and bad grammar who the hell cares really iv read all the books now and I loved them all you don't even notice the odd spelling mistake here and there because you get so into what is happening and that's what makes a good book not small insignificant spelling mistakes keep up the good work I say !!!!

    First read of this genre, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Reviews about the grammar etc are right, but don't let this put you off, you will not regret it ! Downloading second book now....can't wait, so glad I went with my gut feeling

    I agree with the people who have given this book 2 stars or less. It started out semi promising but then just got worse and worse and slower and slower. I don't believe I finished this book in the end, I was that bored of it..

    I have never been into reading, in fact I hated it. Through my whole life I had only ever read one book, this was a book I was assigned in my English class. Anyway, I needed a hobby as I was travelling a lot so I decided to download iBooks and give reading a go properly. Downloaded this book and it had me glued to it from the start! A great story line and with the story told from different view points you don't miss and inch of detail. I would recommend this book to anybody. I have read through the second one which, in my mind, is arguably better than the first and i am currently on the final (3RD) book. There are a few minor spelling or grammar errors with in the book but it doesn't take a genius to figure them out. All in all, 5 stars.

    I read the majority of reviews and agree wholeheartedly with the positive ones. I read the first two books of the trilogy on holiday, a very different angle to the standard zombie thriller. I thought reading some chapters from the zombies perspective would be a let down for this universe but it truly is not. The author explains at the beginning and end of his first two books that he realises he makes a lot of grammatical and spelling errors but they do become less frequent in the second book as the author's style of writing also evolutionises! He has created an immersive universe and has many ideas for further stories. To anyone writing a negative review - bog off and go write a better book if you think it is so easy! The first two books were a pleasure to read and a must for any fan of survival horror and the zombie universe - a truly unique take on the post apocalyptic zombie story Kudos
