    As always I do enjoy reading Nightingale & Grants adventures though I found this story over before it had really begun, it felt a bit like a TV series filler episode so can’t wait for the next book now Ben

    Great Story as always!!! But where’s the rest, when I pre-ordered I thought itwas a full book this is more of an intro to a full story, well written as always and enjoyed what I read. However,I feel somewhat ripped off and not just financially!!!

    As great as are the much loved characters, one can’t help but notice that this book is a third in length then the previous books of the series. The plot is a lazy whirlwind through all the established characters and the ending a dull inevitability. It’s not a novel. It’s sketch of one.

    This really felt like a con - half the length of his other books and practically none of the wider characters included. Didn't move the wider story on at all. A shame, as I am very much enjoying this series.

    Having read this today I feel ripped off! I've had a feeling that this series is on the wane for the last couple of books - it almost feels as if Ben Aaronovitch is himself getting bored with Peter Grant as the plots and characterisation are becoming thinner per volume - perhaps this is why this 'novella' sold at the same price as a full novel, is so short? Sorry Ben, but this is one reader that you've lost!

    Honestly, gutted. Where I the rest of this book. I too had preordered as have loved the previous books but I feel totally cheated as this is at most half a novel at the cost of a full one. Doubt I'll buy the next one now. Such a shame as the writing is good.

    I absolutely love the series and even pre-ordered this, imagine my disappointment as the plot was just getting interesting the book was finished. Really poor show for a full price novel you only get a really short story its as though Ben got a bit bored half way through and gave up. Where is Lesley, Facelessman and all the rest. Feeling a bit cheated both monetarily and literally
